Description
The aim of the project was to design and establish a new visual identity of the museum in accordance with the visual and cultural identity of the institution Bauhuas Design School (1919-1933). The concept for the rebranding focused on integrating a human expression in the rational functional design created by Bauhaus. Their creative process had been mainly rooted and adapted to the new industrialization and mechanization characteristic of the early post-war period.

The shape recalls a stylization of the letter ‘B’, the initial of the name ‘Bauhaus’. It also seeks to divert the attention to the central square of the picture-mark. This square represents the main subject of the Bauhaus institution, i.e. the modern man. Meanwhile, the outer outline represents the space and life surrounding the human being, a space intrinsically made up by design and objects of industrial and mechanized production, created and conceived for and by the human being himself.
